Actress Jessica Dlamini Overjoyed by Her Television Return on Community-Focused Show
Actress Jessica Dlamini, who made a name for herself on the drama series Isibaya, has revealed that returning to television with a show that highlights humanity (ubuntu) and giving back to the community.
She shared this as the host of the show LG’s Make Life Good, which airs every Thursday on Mzansi Magic at 7:00 PM.
Jessica, who had been away from television for some time while focusing on raising her family, connects on this show with various individuals who have achieved success and now wish to give back to the communities where they grew up.
“This show is strictly about humanity and nothing else. It uplifts the communities we come from as successful people. We look back at where we started and go out to do good work in places that especially develop the youth.
“In each episode, I meet someone from that specific community who wants to transform places like schools, sports fields, and community halls because they want to see their neighborhoods thriving with good facilities. That is why this show is very close to my heart, as it focuses on things that help people,” Jessica explained.
She noted that the people she will meet on the show include William Okpara (former Orlando Pirates player) who made a difference at his former school, Kensington Secondary; Saray Khumalo, the first Black African woman to summit Mount Everest; Adze Ugah, a writer and producer of various local shows and Thandi Mavata, a businesswoman and founder of the Doek on Fleek event, among others.
