EFF Hosts Tshela Thupa Rally at Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will host their high-stakes “Tshela Thupa” Rally today at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto.
The phrase “Tshela Thupa,” a Northern Sotho expression translating directly to “meting out punishment” or “whipping,” signifies the party’s final political push to demonstrate its growing power and rally voters.
Thousands of EFF members and supporters clad in signature red berets are expected to descend upon the Orlando venue.
Party leadership will deliver key addresses outlining the organization’s core mandates, land policies, and economic plans.
With the political climate intensifying, today’s gathering at the Orlando Amstel Arena is positioned to be a definitive show of force for the red berets as they connect with their core constituency in Johannesburg’s historic township.
