Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom has been released by Vietnamese side Thep Xanh Nam Dinh after a frustrating spell at the club.
Blom joined Nam Dinh at the beginning of the season following his exit from St. Louis City SC in Major League Soccer.
He joined Nam Dinh alongside Bafana Bafana legend Percy Tau.
However, the move failed to work out for the 26-year-old, who left the club without making a single appearance.
Reports suggest Blom struggled with ineligibility issues and a long-term injury during his stay in Vietnam, with the club ultimately deciding not to keep him beyond the current campaign.
In a brief statement released on Wednesday, Nam Dinh confirmed Blom’s departure alongside three other players as preparations begin for next season.
The former Bafana Bafana international leaves behind fellow South African Percy Tau, who remains at the club.
Blom now finds himself at a crossroads in his career after two difficult spells abroad in the United States and Vietnam.
His next move remains unclear, though a possible return to the Betway Premiership could now become a serious option.
The midfielder previously only played for Chiefs at the senior level after rising through the club’s development structures before earning a move overseas.
