Manhunt launched after four suspects bomb two ATMs in Bolobedu
POLOKWANE: A manhunt has been launched for four suspects following the bombing of two ATMs at a filling station in Kheshokhowe, in the Bolobedu policing area.
The incident allegedly took place during the early hours of Monday, 5 October 2026, when the suspects reportedly bombed the two ATMs several times before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The explosions caused extensive damage to both ATMs.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo has mobilised its Explosives Unit, detectives, Crime Intelligence and the Tracking Team to investigate the incident and trace the suspects.
Police have opened cases of malicious damage to property and contravention of Section 28 of the Explosives Act 26 of 1956.
Detective Sergeant Kedibone Seale is leading the investigation.
Anyone with information that could assist police in identifying or locating the suspects is urged to contact Seale on 082 319 9769, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, the nearest police station or provide information through the MySAPS App.
Police have urged members of the public not to approach the suspects if they are identified, but to immediately alert law enforcement.
