I DID NOT PAY THOSE AMOUNTS” — JOE“FERRARI” DENIES CASH-SEND PAYMENTS
Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni has denied responsibility for cash-send payments contained in evidence before the
Madlanga Commission as the inquiry examined additional financial records.
Addressing exhibits CJC 460 to CJC 466, Sibanyoni maintained that he did not make the amounts
identified in the cash-send material.
He also maintained that there had been confusion involving cellphone numbers and the identification of the
recipient linked to some transactions.
Earlier in his evidence, Sibanyoni disputed the attribution of certain cash-send payments linked to a
number associated in Commission material with Botsotso. He said the payments were not made to the
“real Botsotso”, but to another person whom he said had been incorrectly identified
Sibanyoni denies that the financial material establishes unlawful conduct and continues to challenge
aspects of the Commission’s interpretation of the records.
