PHALABORWA: The memorial service of the late Lekompo musician, Mmabatho Mokgalaka, popularly known as Queen Terc, is underway at Foksor Community Hall in Namakgale, Thursday ( 07 May 2026)
The 22 – year old was killed in a horrific car crash on the R71 between Gravelotte and Letsitele last week.
The Namakgale – born star succumbed to her injuries despite the efforts of the emergency personnel services who attended the scene of the crash.
Amongst the attendees are Baphalaborwa Municipal Mayor Merriam Maltji, TJ Agency, and various local artists.
The Mpotxe Nine Nine singer’s funeral service will take place in Phalaborwa on Saturday, 09 May 2026.
Mayor Malatji has assured the family that the municipality will cover funeral expenses.
Other recent losses in the Limpopo music scene include Feugo “Adifele Lastborn” Maimela, who passed away last month, and Juddy Malekere 99, who passed away in November 2025.
