Television publicist Pamela Mtanga has earned a Best TV Presenter nomination at the 4th annual National Film & TV Awards South Africa just weeks after the premiere of her new Mzansi Magic show, VIP Lounge.

The nod marks an incredible milestone for the multimedia personality, whose return to weekly television has quickly solidified her status among the country’s top broadcasting talent.

The nomination arrived shortly after VIP Lounge made its television debut on 2 October.

Produced by Homebrew Films, the lifestyle and entertainment show features Mtanga alongside co-host Zulu Mkhathini—who is also nominated in the same category.

Together, they give viewers exclusive access to celebrity worlds, behind-the-scenes entertainment sets, and intimate conversations with influential figures shaping South African fashion, music, and popular culture.

For Mtanga, the early nod is both a shock and a full-circle moment.

“This recognition came as a massive surprise especially because the show has been on screen for less than a month,” Mtanga shared.

“I grew up watching lifestyle shows like Selimathunzi and Top Billing, and VIP Lounge is reminiscent of those shows.

Being a part of people’s homes and ultimately their Friday plans is such an incredible feeling, and to be nominated is even more special.”

The recognition caps off an exceptionally busy and successful October for the presenter, who is currently pulling double duty on Mzansi Magic.

On 18 October, she debuted as the host of Elevator Love, an unconventional reality dating show that showcases her versatility as she guides hopeful singles looking for romance.

Mtanga’s current prime-time success builds on a formidable broadcasting portfolio.

She previously sharpened her skills on popular shows like Massive Music, Afrimaxx, and Will He Say Yes?.

She has also become a go-to host for major live entertainment properties, having anchored high-profile events like Miss South Africa 2025 and the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) 2025.

With two major shows currently on air and a prestigious industry nomination to her name, Mtanga’s latest career chapter is moving at full throttle, firmly placing her under South Africa’s entertainment spotlight.
