Advocate Thuli Madonsela Joins Miss South Africa 2026 Judging Panel as Star-Studded Finale Hosts and Performers Revealed
The road to the Miss South Africa 2026 crown is reaching its peak with major announcements regarding the judging panel, hosts, and entertainment lineup for the highly anticipated grand finale.
Renowned legal heavyweight Madonsela has been named as part of the five-member judging panel tasked with selecting the nation’s next ambassador on Saturday, 14 November 2026, at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Madonsela will bring her extensive legal expertise and commitment to public service to the panel.
Joining her are former Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Vermaak, popular media personality and medical doctor Dr. Musa Mthombeni, and Pumla Molope, the president of African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA).
This diverse committee intentionally bridges the sectors of law, healthcare, finance, and entertainment.
The selection aligns closely with the Miss South Africa Organisation’s modern focus on leadership, intellectual capability, and public advocacy rather than traditional beauty pageant metrics alone.
Guiding the live audience and viewers through the monumental evening will be accomplished television presenter Lawrence Maleka and former Miss South Africa turned seasoned broadcaster Jo-Ann Strauss.
To kick off the festivities, Kuhle Adams and Katleho Sinivasan will hold down the official red carpet, welcoming VIP guests and documenting the high-fashion arrivals.
The creative direction for the 2026 finale is themed “From Imbokodo to Diamond.”
The production is designed to honor the historical strength, resilience, and societal contributions of South African women, using the metaphor of the diamond to represent brilliance forged under pressure.
The entertainment lineup matches this ambitious vision.
Joining the previously announced Ndlovu Youth Choir will be Amapiano hitmaker Young Stunna and the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra, promising a unique fusion of traditional choral elements, contemporary street anthems, and orchestral majesty.
The announcements come amid the rollout of The Mandate, a premium seven-part documentary series following the Top 19 contestants.
The docu-series pivots away from standard competition drama to focus on leadership as service, civic participation, and entrepreneurial ambition among a new generation of African women.
Through its flagship social development arm, Empower Youth Africa (EYA), the organization stresses that while only one woman will walk away with the physical crown, all 12 final contestants are being equipped to build pathways of economic and social opportunity for youth across the continent.
Tickets for the event at the Sandton Convention Centre are currently available through Ticketpro.
