Former Springboks flyhalf Derick Hougaard is awake from the coma he has been in since 10 June. His girlfriend, singer Nadine shared the great news on Thursday afternoon:
“With incredible gratitude, we can share with you: Derick has opened his eyes!”
She said his infection count has decreased, and he is currently receiving new antibiotics.

Titanic Sub predictions: The OXYGEN has run out
The search for the Titanic sub is nearing a crucial point, and those involved are preparing for the worst.
The US Coast Guard predicted yesterday that the supply of breathable air in the submersible would run out at 13:08 Thursday in South Africa (12.08 UK time) on Thursday.
It was estimated to have a 96-hour supply of oxygen when it began its voyage to the Titanic shipwreck on Sunday.

Latino’s Bristo came under the spotlight after horrifying incidents of violence and other sinister activities were documented by the investigative journalism television series Cart Blanche this week.
Cart Blanche zoomed into the violent and deadly lifestyle that unsuspecting patrons are subjected to during a night out. The show spoke to victims and witnesses who recounted chilling details about the establishment. The victims accused the establishment of spiking drinks and fearsome bouncers who beat the living hell out of a patron when escorting them out of the establishment.

GDE extends THESE online admissions application deadlines
The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has extended the closing date for the 2024 Online Admissions application period for Grade 1 and Grade 8 to July 21.
According to the GDE’s Spokesperson, Steve Mabona, the application period was initially scheduled to close on July 14, but the department extended the date due to parents preferring to submit their documents at schools.
