Media Statement ALLANRIDGE – Swift police action has led to the arrest of three suspects after a local tuckshop was robbed at gunpoint. Allanridge police responded to a business robbery incident that allegedly took place on 20 January 2025 at about 12:30, at a tuckshop in Nyakallong. It is alleged that unknown males entered the shop, with one pointing the shop owner with a firearm; the others went on ransacking the backroom, demanding cash. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and an airtime machine and then fled in a Toyota Corolla parked near the shop. Allanridge police were made aware of the incident and the vehicle was spotted by a patrolling vehicle that gave chase. The vehicle was intercepted at Nyakallong where all the suspects alighted from the vehicle and fled on foot. Three suspects aged 27, 33 and 39 were arrested for business robbery and stolen properties were recovered.
