The South African electronic music scene has a powerful new architect. Gumz, a dynamic DJ and music producer hailing from Pretoria, is rapidly cementing his status as a defining voice in the global electronic landscape.

Known for a signature sound that seamlessly fuses deep, soulful rhythms with raw, ancestral Afro Tech elements, he has spent years sharpening his craft and catching the attention of house music heavyweights worldwide.

Now, the anticipation is over, Gumz has officially arrived with the release of his studio album, Pulse of Afro.

Pulse of Afro represents a significant milestone for both the artist and the genre.

Far from a standard collection of club tracks, the project is a rich, collaborative masterpiece that boldly pushes the sonic boundaries of contemporary electronic music.

While the production explores futuristic textures and innovative arrangements, it remains firmly and unapologetically rooted in traditional African rhythm, creating a listening experience that is both forward-thinking and deeply nostalgic.

To celebrate the launch, Gumz is stepping up to the decks to deliver an exclusive, high-octane taste of the album.

This specially curated set promises to showcase the raw energy and intricate layering that defines Pulse of Afro, leaving dance floors and listeners across the nation completely locked into the groove.

As South Africa continues to export some of the world’s most compelling dance music, Gumz is proving that the future of Afro Tech is in exceptionally capable hands.
