Tebogo Ramokgadi renews R100,000 ‘Hollywood smile’ in Dubai ahead of Diamond and Dolls Season 2
DUBAI: Executive producer, influencer and television personality Tebogo Ramokgadi has travelled to Dubai to professionally polish and renew his signature smile as he prepares for the second season of his reality television show, Diamond and Dolls.
Ramokgadi, who previously invested approximately R100,000 in his smile, underwent a professional polishing treatment in Dubai costing about R18,000.
The trip comes as Ramokgadi prepares for the next chapter of his career, with Season 2 of Diamond and Dolls expected to showcase new personalities, travel, fashion, business and lifestyle experiences.
However, Ramokgadi says the trip is not simply about luxury or aesthetics. September marks National Oral Health Month, which highlights the importance of maintaining good dental and oral hygiene.
“Your smile says a lot about you. For me, it is about confidence, presentation and taking care of myself. I also wanted to make sure I was looking after my teeth properly, not simply chasing a white smile,” Ramokgadi said.
He stressed that cosmetic dental treatments should not replace basic oral-health practices such as brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups.
Ramokgadi said his decision to invest in his smile was motivated by maintenance and confidence rather than insecurity, particularly given the demands of working in the entertainment industry.
“I work in entertainment, and I’m constantly meeting people, so taking care of my teeth is important to me. It wasn’t about insecurity. It was about maintenance, confidence, and feeling good when I smile,” he said.
According to Ramokgadi, the term “Hollywood smile” is often used broadly to describe a cosmetic dental result involving the overall appearance of a person’s smile, including its shape, colour and alignment.
He also clarified that his smile does not involve veneers, saying: “For me, these are 100% my own teeth.”
Beyond appearance, Ramokgadi said oral health should be viewed as an important part of overall personal wellbeing.
“A beautiful smile means very little if you are ignoring pain, gum problems or poor hygiene,” he said.
He urged people to prioritise regular dental care instead of waiting until they experience pain before visiting a dentist.
“Don’t wait until something hurts before you see a dentist. Take your oral health seriously.
Brush properly, floss, have regular dental check-ups and pay attention to your gums,” he said.
As he prepares for the second season of Diamond and Dolls, Ramokgadi said the show would reflect his growth both personally and professionally.
“Season 2 is bigger, more elevated and more intentional. I’ve grown since the first season, and the show has grown with me,” he said.
Viewers can expect new personalities, experiences and international travel, alongside themes of fashion, ambition, relationships, business and lifestyle.
Ramokgadi said he wants the show to entertain audiences while also showcasing creativity, aspiration and different possibilities.
Following his Dubai trip, he is set to travel to Bangkok as his international entertainment and business activities continue.
