American R&B singer Chris Brown is facing a hefty financial demand from his baby mama, Diamond Brown, who has reportedly approached the courts requesting a staggering $45,000 (around R749,000) per month in child support.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 28-year-old mother is seeking the massive increase to cover the lifestyle and expenses of their 4-year-old daughter, Lovely Symphani Brown.

In her legal filing, Diamond—who works as an esthetician and social media influencer—claims she only earns about $1,500 (R26,000) a month independently, while estimating Chris Brown’s monthly income to sit between $5.5 million and $7.3 million.

The proposed $45,000 monthly allowance is broken down into specific household and childcare demands: housing & Rent: $23,000 (approximately $15,000 of this would go towards upgrading to a luxury rental property), childcare: $3,500, education & Extracurriculars: $1,500 for art and sports lessons, savings and gifts: $2,000 for college savings and $2,000 for gifts and personal care: $500 for clothing and $350 for haircuts.

Diamond noted that while Chris currently covers her utility bills, previously bought her a Tesla, and voluntarily provides her with $7,000 a month in spending money, a formal court order is necessary to cover their daughter’s expanding needs.

The financial demand accompanies an ongoing custody battle. Diamond has requested sole legal and physical custody of Lovely, suggesting that the “Under the Influence” singer only be granted visitation rights. Chris Brown has firmly rejected this proposal, filing counter-documentation to request joint legal and physical custody.

The final child-support figure and custody arrangements will be determined as the legal proceedings continue in court.
