Sedibeng Water Police and Diving Service recovered three bodies

SEDIBENG – On Monday 20 January 2025, members of the Sedibeng Water Police and Diving Services were mobilized to assist with the extraction of three bodies from a Rand Water Board concrete structure next to the R42 Barrage road.  Upon arrival, the members requested the services of Midvaal Fire brigade with their specialized equipment to extract the bodies.

The bodies were recovered successfully and handed over to forensics for further investigation. The collaboration by these dedicated members played a crucial role in the extensive efforts in the recovery of the bodies and preservation of evidence.

A case of murder is currently under investigation by the Sharpeville SAPS.
