PSL gives reasons for Chiefs/ Siwelele Carling KO time change

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced a late change to the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final schedule, moving the Kaizer Chiefs versus Siwelele FC fixture from a 3pm to 6pm.

The adjustment was made to accommodate Sunday’s CAF Super Cup fixture involving Mamelodi Sundowns.

As a result, both Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final matches scheduled for Sunday will now kick off at 6pm.

In a statement, the PSL said: “The Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final match between Kaizer Chiefs and Siwelele FC has been rescheduled, with kick-off moved from 3pm to 6pm.

“The adjustment has been made in consideration of Sunday’s CAF Super Cup fixture involving Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Consequently, both Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final matches scheduled for Sunday will now kick off at 6pm.”

The league extended its best wishes to Mamelodi Sundowns as they compete for CAF Super Cup honours, and to all eight teams involved in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals.

“The PSL wishes Mamelodi Sundowns all the best as they compete for CAF Super Cup honours and extends its best wishes to all eight teams competing in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals,” added the statement.

Tickets for all quarter-final matches remain available at R100 each through Open Tickets and can be purchased online only.
