Phala worried about Shabalala’s situation at Chiefs

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Thuso Phala

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Thuso Phala has expressed concern over the recent social media activity involving Amakhosi midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala, saying he hopes there is no problem between the player and the club.
Shabalala reportedly unfollowed Kaizer Chiefs on all his social media platforms, sparking speculation about his future at Naturena.
Phala said he hopes the reports do not point to a deeper issue but admitted the situation is worrying.
I hope there is nothing happening between Chiefs and Mdu. We have seen on social media that he unfollowed the club,” said Phala.
If there is something happening, it is sad to see a young player trying to express himself through social media. That is not the right way.”
He urged the talented midfielder to rely on the people closest to him, including his family and manager, if he is facing any challenges.
As Kaizer Chiefs fans, Mdu is one of the club’s diamonds. We want to see him grow and become an even better player,” he added.
Phala suggested Shabalala’s frustrations could be linked to limited game time during pre-season but hopes the matter will be resolved quickly.
He also said supporters are eager to see Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi combine on the field this season.
