Mrs South Africa 2026 Top 30 Finalists Announced After Glamorous Semi-Final Showcase
The journey to one of South Africa’s most celebrated titles has reached a defining moment.
Mrs South Africa has officially unveiled its Top 30 finalists for the 2026 competition after an elegant and emotionally charged Semi-Final Showcase at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace on Friday, 3 July. The announcement marks the beginning of the final chapter in a competition that has evolved far beyond the traditional beauty pageant format.
For the women who secured their place in the Top 30, the announcement represented the culmination of months of preparation, personal growth and determination. For those watching, it signalled the start of an intense campaign that will ultimately crown the next Mrs South Africa.
The showcase concluded an action-packed Semi-Finals Week, which began on Wednesday, 1 July, with a series of empowerment workshops hosted by Hotel Sky Sandton. Contestants were then put through rigorous assessments, including swimwear judging and final interviews, where they were evaluated on leadership, communication skills, community impact, personal development and their ability to represent the Mrs South Africa brand.
Today, Mrs South Africa, powered by iME, positions itself as far more than a pageant. Under the leadership of CEO Joani Jacobs, the programme has become one of the country’s leading platforms for female empowerment, mentorship and leadership development. Often described as an “MBA of life” for women, it focuses on building confidence, influence and lasting social impact.
Jacobs said every woman who enters the competition brings a unique story deserving of recognition.
“Every entrant arrives with a story worth telling,” she said. “Our role is to amplify those stories while equipping women to become leaders in their own spheres.”
Reflecting on this year’s semi-finalists, Jacobs praised the calibre of the finalists, saying the transformation witnessed throughout the process had been remarkable.
“This year’s batch of thirty were simply astonishing,” she said.
The Semi-Final Showcase embraced a bold Vogue-inspired theme and was hosted by broadcaster and former Mrs South Africa Nicole Capper alongside Heart FM presenter Olwethu Nodada. Guests were also treated to performances by Lloyd Cele and former Mrs South Africa Erin-Jane Miller, adding to an evening that blended glamour with celebration.
The newly announced finalists represent communities across South Africa. Gauteng dominates the list, while finalists also hail from KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, the Free State, Mpumalanga, the Western Cape and North West.
Among the Top 30 are Adre Muller from Pretoria, Andrea Raaths-Duarté from Pretoria, Angie Calo from Umhlanga, Carolize Delport from Bloemfontein, Chanelle Badenhorst from Cape Town, Lisinda Grobbelaar from Rustenburg, Melissa Scott from Polokwane, Tracey Elliott from Cape Town and Tsakani Mangolele from Polokwane.
The competition now shifts into a demanding new phase. Shortly after the announcement, finalists attended a strategy workshop focused on media engagement, personal branding and public speaking before taking part in their first official photoshoot, with images set to feature across traditional and digital media campaigns.
Community service will once again remain at the heart of the competition.
Each finalist is expected to organise a fundraising initiative supporting one of Mrs South Africa’s official charity partners, including the 4Change Foundation, The Society for Animals in Distress and the Cancer Association of South Africa. Last year’s finalists raised more than R400,000, and the Class of 2026 has already set its sights on exceeding that milestone.
As preparations continue, finalists will remain under close observation by the selection committee ahead of the national finals.
The judging panel features principal judge Matapa Maila, former Mrs South Africa 2020 Jacqueline Ferns, technology innovator Nivi Grogor, physician and former Johannesburg mayor Dr Mpho Phalatse, and reigning Mrs South Africa 2024 and Mrs World 2024 titleholder Tshego Gaelae.
With campaigning, fundraising and public appearances now set to intensify, South Africa’s Top 30 finalists begin the most demanding stage of their journey. Only one woman will ultimately claim the coveted Mrs South Africa 2026 crown, but for every finalist, the road ahead promises to be as transformative as it is competitive.
