MOTORISTS WARNED OF HAZARDS ON R71 MAKGOBA SKLOOF IN LIMPOPO
POLOKWANE: Motorists travelling along the R71 between Polokwane and Tzaneen via Makgobaskloof are urged to exercise extreme caution following reports of multiple hazards on the roadway.
A stationary bus is obstructing part of the road at the top of Horseshoe in Makgobaskloof, with the vehicle positioned on a bend and reportedly without warning triangles.
A load of gum poles is also lying on the roadway, posing an additional danger to motorists using the route.
Traffic officers are currently at the scene managing the situation and working to ensure the safety of road users.
Motorists are advised to reduce their speed, remain alert, maintain a safe following distance and approach the affected area with extreme caution.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is expected to provide further updates as the situation develops.
