TSESENG – On Sunday 17 March 2024 at about 23:20, Tseseng Station commander received information that there is a man carrying a firearm at one of the taverns. The Officer followed up on the information together with 2 members who were on duty. Upon arrival at the tavern, the officer led the members to search all 5 African males who were sitting inside the tavern and reached a male who had a side bag hanging around his neck with a rope, hidden underneath the jacket. Upon searching him, a Rossi revolver with 2 life ammunitions were found. The 29-year-old suspect was placed under arrest and preliminary investigations revealed that the firearm was stolen from a farm near Warden back in 2021.
He will appear in Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate court soon for illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
