Macpherson Orders CIDB Probe Into Moriel Infrastructure Group
Public Works Minister Dean Macpherson has directed the CIDB to immediately investigate allegations that Moriel Infrastructure Group obtained multiple contractor gradings on the same day without meeting the required criteria, which may have been used to secure government contracts.
This follows a viral video showing company director Lawrence Chamurwa Mudzinganyama allegedly threatening women at a Sandton restaurant.
Transport Minister Barbara Creecy has also ordered SANRAL to investigate the company’s contracts.
