Media Statement KIMBERLEY – The Northern Cape Provincial Anti-Corruption Unit (ACIU) arrested a 46-year-old Kimberley Magistrate’s Clerk of the Court on Friday, 15 March 2024, for alleged corruption. It is alleged that the Clerk assisted an applicant of a protection order, as well as the Interim protection order that was granted by the Magistrate. The Clerk allegedly demanded R500-00 from the applicant and was later arrested by NC Prov ACIU. The accused appeared in the Kimberley Magistrates Court, and she was released on R500-00 bail.
