Kaizer Chiefs part ways with Tashreeq Morris

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of striker Tashreeq Morris, making him the latest player to leave Naturena as the club continues its squad overhaul ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
Morris spent two years with Amakhosi but has now mutually agreed to terminate his contract after discussions between the two parties.
His exit follows those of Happy Mashiane and George Matlou, as Chiefs continue reshaping their squad under new head coach Fernando Da Cruz.
In a statement released on Friday, the club thanked the towering striker for his service and wished him well for the future.
“Following constructive discussions between the club and the player, Kaizer Chiefs and Tashreeq Morris have mutually agreed to terminate their contract,” the club said.
“This amicable decision grants Morris the opportunity to pursue the next chapter of his career and join a team of his choice. We wish Tashreeq success in his future endeavours.”
The departure opens another space in the Chiefs squad as the Soweto giants continue preparing for the new campaign.
With several new arrivals expected before the transfer window closes, Amakhosi appear determined to build a squad capable of challenging for major honours after ending last season without a trophy.
