Joe “Ferrari” Probing Postponed — Return Date Yet to Be Determined
The further hearing of Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni’s testimony before the Madlanga Commission has been
postponed to a date yet to be determined after his legal team sought an indulgence over availability and
scheduling difficulties.
The Commission had planned to begin probing Sibanyoni’s evidence on 22 September 2026 after he
completed his supplementary statement.
His counsel told the Commission that lead counsel would not be available and that Sibanyoni was due to
leave on 22 September for a church engagement until 28 September, with availability from 29 September.
After hearing submissions, the Chair ruled: “Unfortunately, the further hearing of Mr Sibanyoni’s testimony
will be postponed to a date to be determined.”
The Commission separately dealt with Mr Sindane’s anticipated testimony. It ordered that a substantive
postponement application be filed before midnight on 21 September, any answering affidavit by midday on
22 September, and any reply by 6pm that day. The application is due to be heard at 9:30am on 23
September, with Sindane required to be present in case it is refused
The Chair closed the proceedings by noting: “Unfortunately, tomorrow is lost.”
