The JG Zuma Foundation has apologised to the members of the media following the absence of former President Jacob Zuma on the press briefing yesterday, Saturday, 25 June.
“Dear media, once again apologies that parole technicalities prevented H.E Prez Zuma from attending. Thank you for attending in great numbers,” a part of the tweet learn.

“As you can see, with the attached letter, the DA was ready to pounce. We thank Advocate Dali Mpofu and his legal team for sound advice,” the tweet adopted.
JACOB ZUMA’S ABSENCE INFLUENCED BY LEGAL LETTER
The lawyer’s letter addressed to Mr M S Thobakgale, the Acting National Commissioner on the Department of Correctional Services, questioned Zuma’s medical parole circumstances.
Point 3 of the letter, queries: “Mr Zuma is on medical parol. His parol conditions provide that he may not leave the magisterial district of Nkandla in KwaZulu-Natal without prior arrangements”.
Point 4, the letter requested on behalf of the shopper (DA) to verify whether or not Thobakgale gave permission to depart his magisterial district to attend the press convention. If so, he needed to state his causes for giving such permission and the circumstances, if any, that have been relevant.
The response is requested by Wednesday, 29 June.
