Soweto police operation: CIT heist suspects gunned down
Two CIT heist and truck hijacking suspects killed in police operation in Soweto
Tsietsi “Bhova” Mofokeng and Tshepo Magobatlou, suspects linked to cash-in-transit (CIT) robberies and other serious crimes, were shot and killed by police during a recent operation in Dobsonville, Soweto.
The action followed intelligence from law enforcement and private security, intercepting the suspects as they were en route to rob a cash van.
Authorities seized an unlicensed rifle and several handguns, highlighting the dangerous nature of the gang.
