GAGASH’S MERCEDES-BENZ V300d NOT REPOSSESSED, SOURCE CLAIMS — CAR REPORTEDLY DUE FOR MAINTENANCE
POLOKWANE – Claims that Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Constable Peter Nonyane’s luxury Mercedes-Benz V300d has been repossessed have been disputed by a source who says the vehicle is due for maintenance.
According to a reliable source, the vehicle, associated with Nonyane, popularly known as “Gagash”, has not been repossessed but is reportedly due for routine maintenance.
The claim comes amid a trending photograph showing his Mercedes-Benz car loaded onto a flatbed tow truck.
Nonyane and Tibana remain in custody after Judge Karin Pillay dismissed their appeal against the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court decision to deny them bail.
The couple face a combined 123 charges, including fraud, theft and money laundering, with two accused Rirhandzu Tibana and Jabulani Maluleke in a case involving allegations that approximately R11 million was unlawfully taken from accounts linked to 15 deceased estate funds.
They were arrested by the Limpopo Hawks after a accomplain lodge by McCarthy Wonderboom Dealership, after attempting to purchase R1.65 million pre-owned Mercedes-Benz AMG G63.
The case is expected to return to the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on 6 November 2026 for further proceedings.
MDNTV will continue to follow developments in the case.
