Vaccines have been around before the Outbreak of Coronavirus now brought the pandemic in 2020. However, the arrival covid-19 has increased the knowledge and awareness of vaccines.
At the basic level, it is meant to help the body produce antigens to create better immunity for the body to resist infectious disease attacks.
Before now, the production of Vaccines has always taken place without much furore. Now the church in general and especially the body of Believers in the Pentecostal and Evangelical fold have grown in sensitivity to the signs of the end time.
And that is to say the time, according to the scriptures, just before the second coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ. For the born again Christians, no one will want to have the mark of the Beast or such a person will miss heaven.
There have been reports from whistleblowers of certain big pharmaceutical corporations of wrongdoing. That they include substances that can be used as trackers in recent vaccines.
This has created distrust and fear among born again Christians. They do not want their faith compromised on the altar of stemming the tide of Coronavirus infection.
In addition, the use of fetal materials from aborted fetuses in early development of Vaccines is on record.
It has not gone from the mind of people,the Christians. They liken this to tacitly supporting abortion, which God forbids in his commandments; ‘that shall not kill.’
While the orthodox Christian denominations do not see much to worry about vaccination, the pentecostals and evangelicals have an ax to grind with it.
Therefore, they resort to genuinely seek religious exemptions. And exemptions are covered by law and the Constitution of various countries.
This request is particularly coming on the heels of mandatory vaccinations required by different organizations, corporations and workplaces where Christians find themselves. And there should be religious exemptions.
How the law would interpret this is a different ball game.
