BREAKING: DJ Lamiez Holworthy Rushed to Hospital for Surgery

GAUTENG: Popular South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy has been rushed to hospital and is set to undergo an urgent surgical procedure, her management has confirmed.

The DJ was taken to an undisclosed hospital on Saturday evening after requiring medical attention. Her management, Brand Arc Team, said her condition is not life threatening, but confirmed that the sudden hospitalisation will affect several of her upcoming performances.

Lamiez was scheduled to perform on Sunday and again on Monday, 10 August 2026.

In a statement, Brand Arc Team said the development would affect the DJ’s remaining events scheduled for the two days.

“This will affect remaining events tonight and on Monday (10 August 2026),” the management team said.

The announcement comes as a disruption to the DJ’s performance schedule, with promoters, organisers, clients and business partners now having to adjust arrangements at short notice.

Management Apologises for Cancelled Events

Brand Arc Team has apologised to everyone affected by the sudden change to Lamiez’s schedule.

The management said it would contact affected parties to discuss revised dates for bookings once the DJ has recovered and is in a position to return to work.

The team did not disclose the nature of the medical procedure or the hospital where Lamiez is receiving treatment.

While the situation has forced changes to her immediate professional commitments, her management stressed that her condition is not life threatening.

Fans Asked to Respect Her Privacy

As Lamiez undergoes the necessary treatment, her management has appealed to the public to respect her privacy and allow her the time and space needed to recover.

The team has also asked fans and supporters to keep the DJ in their prayers during her recovery.

The announcement is likely to concern the DJ’s large following, particularly those who were expecting to see her perform over the coming days.

For now, her immediate priority is her recovery, with further details about her return to the stage expected once her medical team has completed the necessary treatment and she is fit to resume her professional commitments.
