AN ACCUSED APPEARS IN COURT FOR DOUBLE MURDER
A 34-year-old Mpho Tsimane from Tumahole township in the Free State appeared before the Parys Magistrate Court in connection with a double murder that occurred at one of the farms in Parys.
Fezile Dabi Policespokesperson Sergent Josephine Rani said on Saturday, 7 June 2025, the police responded to a scene, where two males aged 27 and 34 years were found dead with gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the trio has been involved in business robberies in Tumahole, and a dispute led to the fatal shooting.
Through diligent investigation, police were able to identify and arrest one suspect. Investigations are ongoing, and there may be more arrests to follow.
The case has been postponed to Wednesday, 18 June 2025, for bail application.
