KwaThema Body Identified as Dineo Evelyn Motapane Amid Ongoing Probe Into Murders of Eight Women
The family of 38-year-old Dineo Evelyn Motapane has positively identified her body at the Springs Mortuary in Gauteng.
This comes after her remains were discovered on the side of the road in KwaThema, Springs, prompting the South African Police Service (SAPS) to intensify its ongoing investigation into the murders of eight women across Ekurhuleni.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, Motapane was last seen alive by her family on Sunday.
At the time her body was discovered, her family had not yet reported her missing to the authorities.
The Acting National Commissioner of SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, extended her deepest condolences to the Motapane family during this difficult time.
She assured both the grieving family and the local community that law enforcement remains firmly on the ground, dedicating extensive resources to solving these gruesome crimes.
