PRETORIA: Pretoria’s CBD is buzzing on Saturday evening as friends, family and supporters gather at Kara Lounge on Madiba Street for Philani’s first annual birthday celebration.
Guests have been arriving in numbers, turning the celebration into a lively gathering filled with music, entertainment, friendship and plenty of anticipation.
But behind the festivities, questions are being raised about whether some of Philani’s former close associates will make an appearance.
Attention is particularly focused on friends associated with “Gagash”, including Gavaza Sesinyana, Chavi C, Lavender, Kokwani Chauke, Benny Mayengani and others.
Their possible attendance comes against the backdrop of a once-close friendship that has reportedly gone through a difficult period.
Before Gagash’s incarceration, he had allegedly planned an event dubbed “Not Under My Roof”, which was viewed by some as an attempt to challenge or overshadow the success of Philani’s first annual birthday celebration.
