Ayanda Dludla Bail Ruling Postponed to Wednesday
Judgment in the bail application of 23-year-old Ayanda Dludla has been reserved until Wednesday, 9 September, at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court.
Dludla faces 14 counts of murder, three of attempted murder, and traffic offences after the minibus he was driving collided with a truck on the Golden Highway on 19 January, killing 14 learners.
The investigating officer told the court he faces death threats if released and that an armed attacker tried to reach him in hospital. The State opposed bail; his lawyer argued the crash was an accident. He remains in custody.
