Legal Letter Surfaces For DJ Tira Following Podcast Interview

A legal letter from Nhlapo Attorneys, addressed to Sandile Makhanya known as Fly Motion, has emerged following comments he made during an interview on the podcast On Point With Sandy Nene, broadcast by Nawe Upopile Studios.

The letter, dated 23 July 2026, states that the attorneys represent Mthokozisi Khathi, popularly known as DJ Tira.

They claim that certain statements made during the interview regarding DJ Tira and his company, Afrotainment, are false, misleading, and defamatory to his reputation.

According to the letter, the lawyers state that the words spoken during the interview created the impression that DJ Tira once abused people working with Afrotainment.

They further claim that references to “bad” people and linking them to serious crimes led the public to believe those words were directed at their client.

The letter also refutes the statement that DJ Tira dislikes Sandile Makhanya, as well as the claim that Afrotainment is no longer operational, stating there is no evidence to support these assertions.

The attorneys argue that these statements could damage DJ Tira’s reputation and negatively impact his relationships with artists, sponsors, business partners, and future career opportunities.

Consequently, they demand that Sandile Makhanya cease spreading these allegations, remove the affected content where possible, issue a retraction and clarification statement, and provide a written undertaking within seven days.

To date, there has been no official response from Sandile Makhanya regarding the letter. The allegations contained in the letter are from DJ Tira’s lawyers and have not yet been tested in court.
