Reflecting on the difficult months after leaving the hospital, L’vovo says the emotional and financial impact of the stroke was as painful as the physical recovery.

“I suffered financially because I wasn’t working or receiving any bookings. I had to move back home. I was scared to go outside and be seen by people. My real friends would come, cook for me, and take care of me. I received words of support, but I also lost many people,” he says.

“I was unable to speak properly or project my voice, so making music simply wasn’t an option. There were moments when everything felt uncertain, but I refused to give up. Healing and recovery begin in the mind. Once you decide that you’re going to fight, your body follows.”

The musician also reveals that he withdrew from public life as he focused on rebuilding his health in private.

“I stopped socializing and refused to be seen in public because I didn’t want people to feel sorry for me,” he says.

“Everywhere I went, my health became the topic of discussion. I understood that people cared, but I could also see the pity in their eyes. I never wanted to be defined by sympathy because I was fighting to recover. I wanted people to see me when I was ready, not when I was at my weakest.”

Today, L’vovo views his survival as nothing short of a miracle.

“I am one of the few people who were blessed enough to wake up from the ICU and be able to tell my story. This is truly my second chance at life. I live differently now. I eat well, I rest, I take care of myself, and I appreciate every day that God gives me. I am finally living the way I should have before I fell ill.”
