Pirates unveil prolific Norwegian striker Pedersen
Orlando Pirates have officially confirmed the signing of Norwegian striker Sebastian Pedersen from Sogndal Fotball as they continue strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers, with the club holding an option to extend the deal by a further year.
Pedersen becomes the latest addition to head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou’s squad as Pirates prepare for another demanding campaign in the Betway Premiership, MTN8, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League.
The Norwegian forward arrives from Sogndal, one of Norway’s renowned talent-producing clubs, having represented his country at every junior level from the Under-15s through to the Under-21s.
Known as the “Blonde Bomber”, Pedersen is regarded as a clinical one-touch finisher rather than a physically imposing target man.
His goalscoring record has already caught the attention of Pirates supporters.
The new Buccaneers striker has scored an impressive 51 goals in his last 117 appearances, underlining his reputation as a reliable finisher.
With those numbers, Betway Premiership defenders and CAF Champions League backlines will have to be on high alert when Pirates begin their new campaign.
