Sundowns drop new kit with second star, confirm Champions League dynasty

Mamelodi Sundowns have just unveiled their 2026/27 home jersey, and it’s official: the second star sits above the badge.
Africa’s reigning champions are wearing their continental dominance on their chest after lifting the CAF Champions League under Miguel Cardoso last season.
The strip keeps the trademark yellow and blue but hits different this time around, with a bold red Puma logo shaking up the aesthetic. It’s subtle evolution, not revolution, but that second star does all the talking.
But Sundowns fans are urged to not rush to the store just yet. The club confirms the kit won’t be available until July 31 online and at retail outlets.
The reveal drops while Sundowns are mid-camp in Austria, where they kicked off pre-season with a 1-1 draw against Hertha Berlin.
Cardoso’s squad has unfinished business domestically: Orlando Pirates snatched the Betway Premiership last season, snapping an unprecedented eight-peat that defined an era in South African football.
The message is clear: new kit, new star, new mission. Sundowns want everything back.
