BREAKTHROUGH IN THATO MOLOSANKWE MURDER: NORTH WEST POLICE TO REVEAL MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS THIS AFTERNOON
MAHIKENG – North West police are expected to reveal what they describe as a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of Thato Molosankwe, whose killing shocked the province earlier this year.
Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo will address the media in Mahikeng this afternoon, where he is expected to outline the latest developments following an intensive investigation by the Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit.
Police say the breakthrough follows weeks of dedicated investigative work after Molosankwe was murdered at his home on 20 May 2026.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the nature of the breakthrough, including whether arrests have been made or suspects have been identified. Those details are expected to be announced during the briefing.
The case has attracted widespread public attention, with many community members calling for justice and swift action against those responsible for the killing.
MDNtv will provide live updates from the media briefing as more information becomes available.
