Three South Africans are celebrating success in Tanzania after helping Simba SC secure their first trophy of the season.

Simba, coached by Steve Barker, defeated rivals Young Africans 1-0 in the Muungano Cup final on Wednesday night.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns players Rushine De Reuck and Neo Maema played key roles in the triumph. Maema joined the club on loan in July, while De Reuck made a permanent move around the same time.
De Reuck walked away with the defender of the tournament award after his impressive displays during the tournament, and Barker was named coach of the tournament.
Barker, who took charge in December, continues to impress. He has already won two Coach of the Month awards and now adds silverware to his achievements.
The final went into extra time after a goalless 90 minutes, before Simba found a late winner to seal the victory.
The result was significant as Simba ended an eight-match winless run against their fierce rivals. They also snapped Young Africans’ six-game winning streak.
Simba were dominant throughout the tournament, winning all three matches without conceding a goal.
