A former security expert, Comrade Mohammed Ali, has sent a strong message to US President Donald Trump after Trump hinted at possible military action over claims of Christian persecution in Nigeria.
In a video that has since gone viral, Ali insisted that the allegations of Christian genocide are untrue and do not reflect the reality of life in Nigeria. According to him, Nigerians of different religions have lived together peacefully for years, and the current challenges in the country have nothing to do with religious persecution.
Ali criticized the narrative being pushed abroad, saying Nigeria has been wrongly portrayed as a nation in crisis between religious groups. He emphasized that the real struggle in the country is humanitarian, not religious.
He also had a stern — though humorous — warning for Trump. Ali stated that Nigeria is not a war-torn territory and should not be compared to places like Afghanistan or Iraq. He added that if American soldiers attempted to invade Nigeria, they would be greeted not by conflict, but by Nigeria’s notorious mosquitoes, which he joked would “deal with them instantly.”
His message was clear: Nigeria does not need foreign military intervention, and claims of religious genocide do not represent the lived experiences of Nigerians on the ground.
