Four men convicted of the brutal murders of Constable Simon Ngakaemang Ntsekeletsa and Sergeant Mojalefa Horatius Molete have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
The sentence was handed down on March 7, 2025, after the men were found guilty on several charges, including murder, kidnapping, and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The tragic incident unfolded on July 26, 2021, when the officers stopped a vehicle carrying 18 goats without the required documentation.
As they escorted the vehicle to the police station, the suspects launched a violent attack, striking the officers with hammers, restraining them, and placing them in the back of their own police van.
The van was later discovered burned, with the officers’ bodies inside.
