Media Statement UPINGTON – The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola together with the Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection and Acting Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Policing, Major General Luntu Ngubelanga and the Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Corporate Services, Major General Thabo Mphuthi conferred ranks to officers and members promoted in the ZF Mgcawu and Namakwa Districts in Upington on 5 November 2024. In attendance were the District Commissioners for Frances Baard, Namakwa and ZF Mgcawu Districts. Lieutenant General Otola congratulated the 162 officers and members who were promoted within the Northern Cape Province. In her address, she reminded appointees that they will be fronted with additional responsibilities in their new positions and to endure challenges in an impartial and unbiased manner. She emphasised the importance of respect to ensure success and admiration. She stated that a positive and fair attitude are vital characteristics to possess in order to be an exceptional leader. She also encouraged appointees to inspire and motivate peers and subordinates to go the extra mile and grow within their respective environments. The conferring of ranks will be hosted by District Commissioners across all five districts in the Northern Cape Province soon. Ends
