Media Statement GARDEN ROUTE DISTRICT – The South African Police Service(SAPS) Garden Route District hosted the district’s Safer Festive Season launch in Mossel Bay on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 as part of the first phase of the festive season operations which are already underway. Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General (Adv.) Thembisile Patekile assessed the readiness of the district to police the festive period. He urged the community to work in partnership with the law enforcement agencies deployed to ensure a safe festive period. Lt Gen Patekile also conveyed his appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued commitment to work with the police during this period and beyond. Ends
