Three Question Marks: Jessica Motaung Reacts as Galaxy Mock Chiefs With "Donkey" Graphic

TS Galaxy’s social media team poked the lion. And Kaizer Chiefs noticed and were offended.

Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has revealed he got a WhatsApp message from Chiefs marketing and commercial director Jessica Motaung. It contained the graphic and three question marks and nothing else.

It was sent after Galaxy posted a graphic showing Chiefs as a donkey that looks in the mirror and sees itself as a lion.

The post dropped right after Chiefs were drawn against Galaxy in the last 16 of the Carling Black Label Knockout.

The joke is easy to read. Chiefs have been using a lion in their graphics this season, but the results on the field leave a lot to be desired lately.

It has been over 10 years that Amakhosi won the league title, and their only major trophy recently is the 2025 Nedbank Cup. Galaxy’s team was clearly mocking a club that thinks it’s bigger than its results.

Sukazi was late to the controversy. “I picked up on this late,” he told Metro FM on Thursday.

“My law practice is very busy. I saw a WhatsApp message from Jessica with three question marks on this.”

He treated it as cup-tie banter, but admitted the line is thin.

“It depends on the beholder. Chiefs fans probably think otherwise, and other people do love it. The boundary is thin. I, maybe, would have preferred to see the logo on the lion’s head than the other animal!”

Galaxy have crossed that line before. Before the game against Orlando Pirates this week they posted a cartoon that appeared to show Pirates media officer Thandi Merafe chasing a Galaxy player with a brown envelope. They later deleted it after Sukazi advised it was in bitter taste. .

This time, the donkey is still up.
