Another Woman’s Body Found in Ekurhuleni
Another woman’s body has been found in Springs, Ekurhuleni, adding to a series of women’s deaths reported across the metro since July.
The woman was found semi-naked near a railway line and appeared to have been strangled, according to reports.
The discovery brings the number of women’s bodies found in Ekurhuleni since July to 11.
Police are investigating the cases collectively and have deployed a multidisciplinary team. SAPS has also offered a R400,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest.
Police have said similarities between some of the cases are being examined, but no single perpetrator has been confirmed as being responsible for all the deaths.
