A 25-year-old woman in Buffelsdraai, KZN, threatened to take her own life on Wednesday after being reprimanded by her husband.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was alerted around 16h13 and dispatched officers to search a nearby bush where the woman had reportedly fled. However, upon arrival, they were informed that she had returned home.
According to her husband, he became upset after returning from work to find that dinner had not been prepared. An argument ensued, during which the woman expressed her intention to end her life before running into the bush.
Community leaders are now providing her with counseling and support.
