A woman has been arrested in connection with the horrifying murder of a e-hailing driver in Pretoria West, which happened on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
From what investigators have pieced together so far, the driver was attacked and killed by a man and a woman who’d booked a ride through an e-hailing app. The stolen car and the driver’s body were found later that same day in Atteridgeville.
The disturbing video making the rounds online shows the woman, wearing a bucket hat and white t-shirt, sitting in the front passenger seat. A man in the back starts beating the driver until he slumps over, lifeless. Then, they move the body to the back, and another guy jumps in to drive.
The woman is set to face a judge in Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, February 16, 2026, charged with car hijacking and murder. Cops say the probe is still active, and they expect to round up more suspects soon.
Authorities are really worried about this graphic video spreading like wildfire and have called it out as showing a brutal killing. They’re begging people on social media to stop sharing, forwarding, or reposting it—it’s just adding to the pain.
