Media Statement CAPE TOWN – Crime prevention initiatives in the Ravensmead policing precinct yielded success when the members arrested a suspect for the illegal possession of a firearm on Friday, 06 December 2024. The members were busy with stop and search operations in a bid to quell gang related activities that affect community safety. They searched an adult male after they noticed that he attempted to run away from them. A revolver was found in his possession of which he failed to produce a valid firearm license or permit for. He was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and will appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 09 December 2024. Ends
