Media Statement BLOEMFONTEIN – The Office of the Provincial Commissioner took note of the video making rounds about incident which took place at Bainsvlei Police station dated 10 February 2025. The Provincial Commissioner has already ordered the District Office of Mangaung Metro to probe this matter internally and necessary steps to be taken. The incident allegedly took place on Sunday 09 February 2025 in the evening when the man and a woman came to the station to report an accident. The woman was assisted while he was taking the video. The Acting Station Commander of Bainsvlei did meet with the man the following day and they resolved the matter, but it seemed that the man was still aggrieved and posted the video on social media. For the matter to be handled with the urgency it deserves, the complainant who was involved in the matter is requested to contact the Acting Station Commander again or to make contact with our Inspectorate Complaints desk at 071 412 2391 to provide more details. The SAPS remains committed to serving and protecting all citizens while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We assure the community that such incidents will be treated and probed with the seriousness they deserve.
