KIMBERLEY – The SAPS Management welcomes the conviction and sentence handed down to Melvinario Adams by the Victoria West Regional Court on Thursday, 06 March 2025. The police received a complaint about a female who had been stabbed with a knife on Wednesday, 08 May 2024. Upon arrival on the scene, the police found a 20-year-old female with stabbed wounds. A 27-year-old male suspect was subsequently arrested for attempted murder and detained. The police successfully opposed bail for his release. The accused has been in prison until his sentencing on Thursday, 06 March 2025. The Provincial SAPS Management commended the Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant Basil Abrahams for removing a GBVF perpetrator from the streets for a lengthy period. Ends
