Media Statement ZFM DISTRICT – Members of the SAPS in the ZFM District are determined to stamp the authority of the State through continuous search and seizure operations as well as visible patrols in hot spot areas to ensure a drug free society and reduce possibilities of young people falling into the trap of drugs. On Thursday, 11 July 2024, the members of Upington POP were conducting high-density patrols in Kakamas, during which they conducted cordon and search operation at two premises. During the search at the identified house, members found dagga with an estimated value of R98 750.00. Members continued with the operation in the area where they conducted another search and seizure operation at the second identified house, and they confiscated dagga amounting to R36 000.00 and undisclosed amount of cash. The two male suspects, aged 21 and 40, were detained for dealing in dagga and are expected to appear in court soon. Ends
